Filled with humor and humanity, 'Gold Rush" gives the reader a different look at the people who tamed the Wild West.
Dan De Quille was a miner, newspaper reporter and adventurer who became one of the most trusted voices on mining and the events of Virginia City, Nevada. He was the mentor to a young Mark Twain and the two worked together on the "Territorial Enterprise" newspaper.
